Product Manager

The Product Manager, initially reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, will be responsible for product management, market research for product requirements, product launch, and commercialization.  The Product Manager will work crossfunctionally with the research and business functions within the company, with key job responsibilities including:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the bladder cancer diagnostics market, of the scientific and technical aspects of the product and translate this understanding into a strategic direction for the Predictive product portfolio

  • Providing leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary project teams in the development of products, including business collaborations and alliances to support product launch

  • Lead the marketing function throughout the product development process and represent marketing at product reviews, preclinical and clinical planning sessions and other key program meetings.

  • Develop a comprehensive product marketing plan including market analysis, sizing and segmentation, definition of customer needs, competitive analysis, product positioning, pricing and selling models.

  • Determine project financial viability and planning of product commercialization strategy

  • Collect, analyze, communicate and champion user needs and define key user segments.

  • Proactively identify and build relationships with key opinion leaders and other clinicians who will be important to the successful definition, development, and positioning of the product.

  • Assist the management team on key strategic projects related to the diagnostic cancer assays product opportunities.

We are seeking candidates who have a BS or MS in life sciences, plus BS in business/economics or MBA preferred. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry (ideally diagnostics or medical devices), including marketing and product launches of FDA related products or laboratory developed tests. Relevant experience in market assessment and new product strategy is desirable. Strong oral and written communications skills are required and proficiency with presentations, spreadsheets, and web-based applications is necessary.
